Ethnic mediation is launched in the North Caucasus. It will be more effective by taking into account the local mentality and traditions.
Currently, there is a general approach in which a person with a higher education can master a set of mediation competencies, head of the federal mediation center Mikhail Borovsky said. According to him, it is obvious that mediators working in the North Caucasian Federal District should be trained taking into account the specifics of the region, the mentality, and traditions of the North Caucasus.
To improve the effectiveness of mediation in the North Caucasus, appropriate methodological materials will be developed and implemented, Borovsky said at a conference on the development of mediation in the North Caucasus Federal District.
Mediators are independent persons acting as a third party in resolving conflicts. Their activities help reduce the number of lawsuits and litigation, reconcile the parties and avoid confrontation. Mediation is especially relevant for business, as the peaceful resolution of disputes allows avoiding spending money and time on litigation.
