According to the Astana administration, employees of government agencies in Kazakhstan will temporarily work remotely due to the SCO summit.
"For the convenience of citizens, including to avoid traffic jams, up to 70% of employees of government agencies and the quasi-public sector will be transferred to a remote work format from July 2 to July 4",
the city administration said.
Kindergartens will also be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Police officers have been transferred to work in an enhanced mode.
