The Czech Republic is preparing an entry ban for Russians with five-year foreign passports, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, warned about this.

"Security is a priority for our government. Anyone wishing to stay in our country must prove that they are who they say they are. For Russians, a non-biometric passport will no longer be sufficient",

the minister said.

Today, citizens of the Russian Federation have access to two types of passports. The old passports are valid for five years and do not have biometrics. Besides, Russians can have ten-year biometric international passports. Let us note that the fee for issuing a passport with biometrics from July 1, 2024, is 6 thousand rubles, and a five-year passport can be issued by paying a fee of 2 thousand rubles.
