Georgian opposition parties unite for elections

Opposition parties in Georgia have started forming alliances to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The Ahali, Girchi - More Freedom and Droa opposition parties announced their intention to participate jointly in the elections.

The Republican Party and the Lelo party are also considering uniting with the bloc.

Earlier, the United National Movement party and the Agmashenebeli Strategy party also announced the formation of a new political alliance called "Unity".

The parliamentary elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 26 and for the first time will be held entirely by proportional system.
