Yerevan once again invited Baku to investigate the shootings after shelling of the Mollabayramli village. The provocations were organized so that the Armenian authorities would have a reason to repeat Nikol Pashinyan’s initiative, announced a week ago.
Following the double shelling by Armenian troops of the positions of the Azerbaijani army near the village of Mollabayramli in the Kelbajar district, official Yerevan turned to Baku with a renewed initiative to investigate border incidents.
The document of the Armenian government begins with a denial of the facts of shelling of Azerbaijani territories by the Armenian Armed Forces. Thus, there is a need for a bilateral mechanism for clarifying the circumstances of the shootings.
At the same time, the document does not contain specific proposals for organizing investigations into the shootings, but only an appeal to Baku for consent to begin joint work.
