The U.S. Virtual Embassy Iran updated a travel warning urging U.S. citizens to leave Iran immediately amid the unrest across the Middle East country.
"U.S. citizens should expect continued internet outages, plan alternative means of communication, and, if safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land to Armenia or Türkiye," the statement reads.
It was noted that U.S.-Iranian dual nationals must exit Iran on Iranian passports since the Iranian government does not recognize dual nationality.
According to the statement, airlines continue to limit or cancel flights to and from Iran, with several suspending services until Friday.
The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published an an updated travel advisory for Iran, advising against all travel to Iran and urging Swedes in Iran to leave the country.
It was also reported that non-essential staff at the French Embassy in Iran have departed the country. Citing unnamed sources, French media reported that the personnel have been leaving since Sunday, without specifying how many had departed so far, as protests continue across Iran.
