India continues to import oil from Russia, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.

"I can confirm India continues buying Russian oil",

Rudenko stated when asked about Donald Trump's earlier import reduction claims.

The diplomat clarified he had no information regarding special pricing arrangements for India and China.

On November 7, Donald Trump announced that India had significantly reduced its imports of Russian oil. In October, he also announced that New Delhi had decided to limit its purchases of Russian oil after a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
