A March of Peace, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will leave Moscow for Jerusalem on March 1.  The purpose of the peacemaking pilgrimage, that will cover dozens of cities and several countries, is to attract world attention to the dangerous escalation of tensions in the international arena and the need for an active struggle against extremism, nationalism and fascism in different regions of the world, including in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Dagestani Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov said at Vestnik Kavkaza that sanctions against Russia and cheap oil were not a reason for panic, the country should work and make money. Abdulatipov noted that he had recently met with Alexey Kudrin in Makhachkala and reminded him about the chances of pulling through when oil prices had been $11 per barrel or $20-22. In the Dagestani leader’s words, Russia was on the edge when Vladimir Putin became the president.

The head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatipov, and the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation have signed an agreement on cooperation in the spheres of industrial policy and trade.  "According to the index of industrial development, we сome out in one of the top places. We are last in terms of volume, maybe, but the index suggests that there are positive developments in the country," Ramadan Abdulatipov said.

Izumrud Mugutdinova, an acting ex-head of the Russian presidential office of Dagestan, has become the permanent representative. Dagestani Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov signed her appointment on December 29, 2014, TASS reports.Mugutdinova worked at the office of the DASSR Council of Ministers in 1977-1992. She became the head of the general section of the Russian presidential office of Dagestan in 1993. Mugutdinova became the deputy head of the office in 1994.

The press service of the DFMS in Dagestan has denied information about the detention of the head of the DFMS of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan, Rajab Abdulatipov, brother of the head of the republic Ramazan Abdulatipov.“Nobody detained Rajab Abdulatipov. These are rumors and stories by Internet bloggers… Rajab Abdulatipov went to work and held a working meeting; at the moment he is staying in his office," RIA Dagestan cites the press service.

The head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov stated that “business is not a nightmare” in the republic anymore. Providing security is one of the main priorities of the region’s authorities, according to him.“In recent times the situation in the republic has normalized. Today there are not the threats which existed in the near past. And this is an achievement of our law-enforcement agencies. We established the conditions for effective development of business,” YuGA cites Abdulatipov.
