Aeroflot to blacklist passengers and staff

The head of the major air-company Aeroflot, Vitaly Savelyev, thinks that Russia should have blacklists of pilots and passengers, RIA Novosti reports. “We have presented several times and will present again the initiative of blacklisting some pilots,” Savelyev told journalists.He noted that when Aeroflot fires pilots for violation of rules, they get jobs in other air companies because of a deficit of pilots in Russia.Today only 400 pilots graduate every year in Russia, while the necessary number is 1000.

Belavia will not be sold to Aeroflot

The Belarusian National Air Company of Belavia has no information on reports it is to be purchased by Russia’s Aeroflot, Interfax reports.Deputy Director General of Belavia Igor Chergints said that no proposals or negotiations of the purchase have been held.Some Russian media sources said that Belavia there were plans to sell Belavia in 2013 to Aeroflot.

Georgian Airways opens flights to Moscow’s Vnukovo

Georgian Airways has started flights to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airports, ITAR-TASS reports.Tbilisi-Vnukovo-Tbilisi flights will be carried out using Boeing 737-500s. S7 Airlines will organize flights from Moscow to Tbilisi.Vnukovo is one of the largest airports in Russia. Its main shareholder is Aeroflot with 75% of shares.Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in spring 2011 that Moscow Airports Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo will form a single complex.

Some Azerbaijan-Russia flights cancelled

Some flights from Baku to Russian cities have been cancelled. Flights at the Heydar Aliyev Airport to Omsk (departure at 11.35 am), Perm (2.20 pm) and Moscow (3.55 pm), were cancelled on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports. Aeroflot and plans a flight to Moscow at 6.58 am and so do the Azerbaijani Airlines. Registration ended at 10.40 am. Flights on March 28 will go according to schedule. Russia and Belarus cancelled flights due to disagreements on number of flights.

Russia-Belarus flights scrapped

Flights between Russia and Belarus have stopped, BELTA reports.A flight from Minsk to Moscow for 7 am was delayed. Belarus canceled license for flights to Moscow for all Russian companies.Aeroflot was informed about the problem. Flights between Russia and Belarus stopped at 8 am on March 26. All passengers were warned. They may get refunds or fly at other time.

New tourism product to be presented in Sochi

A presentation of a new complex tourism project in Sochi will be presented on March 13, 2012, Yuga.ru reports.The complex includes accommodation, food, treatment according to the Open South Program, transfer and transport back. Aeroflot tickets will be cheaper for Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Samara.The price for a week tour from Moscow to Sochi and back will cost at least 14,500 rubles. This saves about 48%.

Kavminvodyavia stops work

The Kavminvodyavia Air Company has stopped work, and its flights will be carried out by Donavia, a 100% subsidiary of Aeroflot, ITAR-TASS reports.

State property worth $30 billion to be privatized in Russia

The president of the United Aircraft Engineering Corporation Mikhail Pogosyan stated that he sees prospects for cooperation with Armenia in several projects, News Armenia reports. The presentation ceremony of the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 took place on Tuesday in the international airport Zvartnots in Yerevan. Armavia and Aeroflot are the initial clients for Sukhoi Superjet 100. According to Pogosyan, Arminia will receive one more SSJ-100 by the end of the year.

Armavia receives first serial SSJ-100

The Armenian airline company Armavia has received the first Russianserial regional plane Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100), named after thefirst spaceman, Yuri Gagarin, Roscosmos reports.The deputy director general of the air company Aram Yegoyan said thatthey plan to launch the new plane in February when all thecertification documents are ready. The plane will fly on theYerevan-Moscow route.The SSJ-100 was to receive the certificate from the European AviationSafety Agency in mid 2011.

Transport minister slams Moscow airport, Aeroflot over flight delay

Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin criticized the management of Moscow's Domodedovo airport and the air carrier Aeroflot on Tuesday over their handling of flight delays caused by a recent ice storm, RIA Novosti reports. Power outages and icing at Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports near Moscow have severely disrupted passenger traffic in the past two days.
