Turkmen president and Georgian foreign minister meet

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met Georgian Foreign Minister Grigory Vashadze in Ashkhabad on Thursday, Trend reports.The sides exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation, inter-state relations, energy.Iosif Chakhvashvili, Georgian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Turkmenistan, said that Turkmenistan is trying to speed up realization of the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline, Nabucco, Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania Interconnector (AGRI).

Botas abandons claim against Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project

Botas International Limited (BIL, Turkey), operator of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline in Turkey, has abandoned the claim against the pipeline project, Trend reports.Botas filed a lawsuit, insisting that the project caused damage of $2 billion. Turkey and Azerbaijan introduced amendments to the package of energy agreements in October 2011, including adjustments to the document on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline.The amendments will give Turkey additional income of $3.7 billion, instead of $2 billion.

Russia and Turkey prolong long-term gas deals

Russia and Turkey have agreed to prolong two long-term contracts on gas supply in 2012 and 2025 respectively, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz, RIA Novosti reports.

The company Botas International Limited (BIL), the operator of the Turkish section of the pipeline "Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan» (BTC), announced the details for the shipment of oil from the oil terminal in Ceyhan, 1news.az reports with reference to the official website of Botas. Anatolian pipeline to be built on Azerbaijani money

The capacity of a new Azerbaijan-Turkey gas pipeline in the first stage will be 16 billion cubic meters. This was announced today at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a consortium that will build a pipeline by the Energy Minister Natig Aliyev, Trend reports with reference to the Hurriyet newspaper.The minister said that in the future capacity will be increased to 24 billion cubic meters. Azerbaijan has enough energy resources to fill the pipeline, said Aliyev.
