Speaking at the International Forum for Peace and Trust in Ashgabat, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated Türkiye's readiness to assist in finding a peaceful settlement to the situation in Ukraine.
According to the Turkish leader, Ankara sincerely hopes for a resolution to the conflict.
"We are ready to provide concrete support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at a ceasefire and peace, primarily within the framework of the Istanbul process",
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.
The announcement follows a yesterday's statement from Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirming a scheduled meeting between President Vladimir Putin and President Erdoğan in the Turkmen capital. President Putin arrived in Ashgabat earlier today.
