The Russian pipeline company Transneft and Kazakhstan's national operator Kaztransoil have signed an agreement for the transit of Kazakh oil through Russia in 2026.
"During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and signed an agreement to provide services for the transportation of Kazakh oil in transit through Russia for 2026",
Kaztransoil reported.
Under the agreement, Kazakh oil will be shipped via Russian pipelines to the seaports of Novorossiysk and Ust-Luga for onward export to EU markets.
This agreement follows reports that 45,000 tons more Kazakh oil was shipped to Germany via Russia in October than the previous month.
