US Vice President J.D. Vance was the most vocal opponent of a military operation in Iran within the Trump administration, according to the Time magazine, citing sources familiar with the discussions.
"According to two sources familiar with the discussions, Vance was the most opposed to the operation among Trump's closest allies",
the Time magazine reported.
However, Vance later changed his position as President Trump leaned toward a military option. The conflict in Iran has reportedly divided the administration between supporters of Vance and supporters of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Trump himself previously acknowledged that his vice president was "less enthusiastic" about the prospects of a military operation in Iran.
