Russia and Lebanon have simplified diplomatic contacts by waiving visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, according to an agreement signed by Russian Ambassador Alexander Rudakov and Lebanese Foreign Ministry Secretary General Abdel Sattar Isa.

The visa-free arrangement will take effect two months after both countries notify each other of ratification.

The agreement will remain valid for five years, with the possibility of automatic extension.
