Kremlin comments on Pashinyan’s CSTO withdrawal statement

Russia will continue to work with Armenia to clarify Yerevan's position on the CSTO, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement on Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO.

"We will continue to work with our Armenian friends, we will clarify their position," Peskov said.

The spokesman expressed hope that Moscow and Yerevan will stick to partnership and alliance relations.

He suggested that Armenia may also be interested in this.

Today, the Armenian PM said that the next logical step in Yerevan's relations with the CSTO would be to withdraw from the organization.
