Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has departed for Brussels on a working visit, the Armenian PM's spokesperson Melania Harutyunyan said, according to Armenian media outlets.

Pashinyan will participate in the 2026 EU Enlargement Summit, which will be held under the slogan 'The Future of Europe'.

Bilateral meetings with foreign partners are also planned during his visit.

On 3 November, the EU Enlargement Summit will examine what the next phase of Enlargement could mean for the EU and its prospective members. Discussions will focus on the progress of candidate countries, the reforms, commitments and institutional changes required on both sides, and the economic opportunities and implications of Enlargement.

Beyond the question of who joins, the debate will explore how Enlargement could reshape European security, democracy, economic competitiveness and strategic autonomy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan agreed to continue talks during an upcoming visit by Pashinyan to Moscow following their meeting on September 1, in Bishkek. However, since then, Yerevan has made no effort to organize this trip.
