Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has invited the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, to attend a meeting with US Special Envoy Tom Barrack in Damascus on Sunday.

According to Al Araby TV, citing a diplomatic source, the proposal includes offering Abdi the position of governor of Hasakah province.

The Syrian government presented the Kurds with a 12-point plan, which includes the transfer of border control and checkpoints, the handover of oil and gas facilities, and the integration of SDF personnel into the Syrian Army in addition to the promised position for Abdi.

Meanwhile, government forces have reclaimed significant territory, including the Al-Omar oil field and the Koniko gas field.

The army has also entered the strategic city of Tabqa - site of the Euphrates Dam and a major airport - and captured several towns in Raqqa governorate formerly under SDF control.
