Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has arrived today on a working visit to Minsk at the invitation of his Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko.
Asadov was met at the Minsk National Airport by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko and other officials.
The Azerbaijani PM will attend the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the plenary session “Food Security of the Eurasian Economic Union” during the visit.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is also on a two-day working visit to Belarus, where he will participate in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
At this meeting, the heads of government will consider a wide range of issues on further deepening of Eurasian economic integration.
"Special attention will be paid to transport infrastructure, customs and tariff regulation and the climate agenda," the Russian government's press service said.
In 2024, Armenia assumed the EAEU chairmanship. Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan arrived in the Belarusian capital to participate in a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council.
