Ninth day of 3rd CIS Games to feature bouts in 11 sports

The ninth day of the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan is underway today with competitions in eleven sports.

Football

The final football match between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Russia will be held at the Gabala city stadium.

Badminton

Badminton players will try their hand in the 1/4 finals and semifinals at the Gabala Olympic Sports Complex.

Volleyball

The Azerbaijan youth national volleyball team will play against Russia and Belarus against Uzbekistan at the Ganja Sports Palace.

Fencing

The next medalists of the fencing competitions will also be determined in Ganja, 1/4 finals and finals of the shooting competitions will be also held.

Wrestling

Along with this, the winners among women wrestlers and freestyle wrestlers will be determined at the Ganja Olympic Complex.

Chovgan

The semi-final chovgan matches will be held at the stadium of the city of Sheki. Azerbaijan will meet with Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan - with Uzbekistan.

Boxing

Boxing gold medal matches will be held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.

Archery

Archery competitions will continue at the Khankendi City Stadium.

Karate

The names of the winners will be determined on the last day of the karate competition at the Kur Olympic Center in Mingachevir.

Judo

The judo competitions will start in the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex.

The III CIS Games, in which 1,624 athletes and 2237 representatives from 13 countries will participate, will conclude on October 8.
