Mandarin Festival kicks off in Abkhazia

Today, the Mandarin Festival has started in the Abkhazian capital. It will last until January 10.

The winter Mandarin Festival started in Sukhum on January 6. This is the second time the event is being held in Abkhazia.

The festival began on Bagapsh Square. The Mandarin Festival kicked off with a culinary program. Festival guests were treated to a two-meter-long khachapuri, invited to make a wish and place it on a special board, and surprised by a spit-roasted buffalo.

A special program for children is also presented on the square today. A vibrant fire show will take place in the evening.
