Georgia's Central Election Commission has held a session to announce key information regarding the municipal elections scheduled for October 4.
It was confirmed today that 12 parties will participate in the local self-government elections in Georgia.
Two of the 14 parties that had initially registered failed to nominate candidates for majoritarian deputies and mayors. Consequently, the CEC was forced to terminate their registration.
Election commissions from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Slovakia, and Armenia, as well as the Fijian Elections Office, will be observing the elections. Furthermore, 16 international organizations have been registered as observers, five of which were accredited just yesterday.
The municipal elections are set to take place across Georgia on October 4. Voting will be held in 64 cities and districts at 3,051 polling stations.
