Members of the Georgian Dream party have issued a statement alleging that opposition forces participated in the production of a controversial BBC documentary about the use of chemical weapons by the Georgian government during the 2024 protests.

Mariam Lashkhi, a member of parliament from Georgia's ruling party, commented on a recent statement by Teimuraz Papaskiri, a member of the opposition Akhali party, and accused the Georgian opposition of supporting the dissemination of false information about the events of 2024.

Earlier, in an interview with PalitraNews, Teimuraz Papaskiri stated that the BBC would not grant an appeal from the Georgian Dream party regarding a report alleging the use of camite during the 2024 protests in Tbilisi.
