The Black Sea Energy interconnector project, designed to transport renewable energy to the European Union, has completed its feasibility study, with discussions now focused on investment models, Tural Aliyev, Head of the Green Energy Corridor, announced.
"The feasibility study for this project has already been completed, and the parties are currently discussing possible models of interaction with potential investors",
Tural Aliyev said.
He added that technical specifications for the cable have been prepared, and a consultant is being selected to address technical and commercial matters.
The Black Sea Energy Cable project aims to transmit electricity from Azerbaijan to Romania and Hungary via Georgia and the Black Sea. The European Commission granted it Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) status late last year, a key step for attracting investment.
