Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the peaceful nature of the country’s space program, saying the satellites set to be launched in the coming days are designed solely for scientific, economic, and environmental purposes and do not pose a threat to any country.

The FM said Iran has made notable achievements in science and technology.

"Iran has achieved significant progress in science and technology, and these satellite launches are intended for peaceful purposes and for use in various economic, communications, and environmental sectors," Araghchi said.

According to him, this is Iran’s natural right, similar to the activities of other countries, and it poses no threat to anyone.

The FM noted that Iran’s advances in areas such as space technology and nanotechnology are aimed at expanding practical scientific applications.

The countdown has begun for the launch of three Iranian Earth-observation satellites from Russia's Vostochny Cosmodrome. The mission will include the launch of the 'Paya' and 'Zafar-2' satellites, along with an upgraded version of the 'Kowsar' satellite. The satellites are scheduled to be placed into orbit on December 28.
