Georgia wants to introduce direct flights from London to Tbilisi to attract more UK tourists to Georgian resorts. All necessary technical conditions are in place.
Today, Deputy Head of the Georgian Ministry of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili held talks with Deputy of the UK Diplomatic Representative in Tbilisi Claire Albles on the topic of organizing direct flights between the two countries. Kvrivishvili explained that Georgia wants to attract as many UK tourists as possible, and this requires convenient transport links.
“We are optimistic about the launching of direct flights from the UK. For us, Britain is an important aviation and tourism market. We are confident that direct flights will give a significant boost to the growth of tourist flows to Georgia,”
– Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
