Gold prices breached the key $4,000 per ounce mark for the first time on Tuesday, according to market data.
Gold futures with delivery in December 2025 climbed above $4,000 per Troy ounce on the Comex exchange, a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
This morning, gold prices surged by 1.74% to as high as $4,000.05 per Troy ounce, having reached a new historical maximum.
As of 7:27 MSK the precious metal prices accelerated further to all-time high $3,996.5 per Troy ounce, up 0.5%.
Silver futures with the settlement in this December edged up by 0.22% to $44.09 per Troy ounce.
