US denies accusations of organizing protests in Israel

The US State Department completely denied all accusations of organizing protests in Israel. Earlier, The Times of Israel wrote about US Involvement.

According to Deputy State Department spokesman Vedant Patel, allegations of US involvement in the protests in Israel are completely false. He announced this  at a regular briefing on Wednesday.

“These accusations are complete and utter lies. <…> We support a wide range of civil society programs around the world, not just in Israel,”

- he assured.

Patel underlined that all references to the US being behind the protests in Israel are "absolutely false."

Since January, Israeli society has been split due to the government's reform initiative aimed at limiting the powers of the Supreme Court and giving the executive branch of power control over the selection of judges.

The Times of Israel, citing its own sources, wrote that some of the Israeli prime minister the closest associated are sure that Washington is behind the protests.
