Azerbaijan-Israel relations are developing positively year by year and encompass various fields, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Moshe Sa'ar.

The Azerbaijani diplomat emphasized that the bilateral relationship holds strategic importance.

"In this context, regular political consultations, strategic dialogues, and inter-parliamentary friendship groups are important," Bayramov said.

He noted that during the meeting with his Israeli counterpart, they discussed in detail the development of economic ties, the current situation, ongoing projects, and new opportunities within the framework of bilateral relations.

The Azerbaijani FM briefed his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa'ar on the ongoing process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.

"At the same time, I informed my colleague about the historic meeting in Washington," Bayramov said.

He added that he exchanged views with Sa'ar on restoration efforts in liberated territories, the return of displaced persons, and the ongoing threat posed by landmines.

According to him, Azerbaijan supports a peaceful resolution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Bayramov expressed hope for a long-term ceasefire in Gaza.
