The land border between Azerbaijan and Russia will open on May 1, Razi Nurullayev, the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis' Deputy, said.
He stressed that due to the closure of land borders, about 400 thousand people lost their jobs. At the same time, the politician expressed confidence that the resumption of land travel would contribute to the development of tourism and the economy in Azerbaijan.
Nurullayev noted that mobile restrictions would be lifted on May 1. On this day, he said, the Azerbaijani authorities would not extend the period of the special quarantine regime in the country.
Let us remind that the land border between Russia and Azerbaijan was closed in March 2020 due to the spread of coronavirus infection.
