The European Union approved the 22nd package of anti-Russian sanctions, including about 1,600 companies and individuals said to be associated with the Russian defense industry into the black list, EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas said.
"EU Foreign Ministers just adopted nearly 1,600 new sanctions listings targeting Russia’s military-industrial complex," Kaja Kallas said.
Sanctions will come into force after the publication of the entire list in the EU official journal.
