Azerbaijani Foreign Minister holds phone talks with his colleague from Israel

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Israel Katz, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry writes.

During the conversation, the ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, the situation around the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, regional and international issues.

Bayramov stated the importance of achieving a ceasefire in the Middle East as well as a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.

In addition to this, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister spoke about the situation in the South Caucasus in the post-conflict period, the revival of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, the fight against the mine threat and negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.

The parties noted that Baku and Tel Aviv had another opportunity for bilateral cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan's chairmanship at the COP29 session.

In addition to this, the ministers exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
