Earthquake shakes Ankara on Thursday

An earthquake was recorded in the Turkish capital on March 12, according to local media reports.

The tremor had a 4.1-magnitude of and struck in the Haymana district. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 7,700 metres, and the shaking was felt across several areas of Ankara.

No casualties or material damage have been reported so far.

Emergency response teams continue to monitor the situation.
