Artificial roadblocks have led to the detention of 60 people in Georgia, according to the press service of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Despite repeated police warnings to protesters not to commit illegal actions, as their numbers do not give them the legal right to block the road, the demonstrators did not comply",

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia stated.

This follows tightened protest regulations implemented October 17, replacing fines with potential 15-day imprisonment for illegal road obstruction.

Notably, Georgian law permits road blockages only when protest volumes physically exceed pedestrian areas.
