A new international sea cruise is being planned for the Republic of Dagestan, Vadim Mamontov, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI), announced.

The newest Russian motor ship "Nikolay Zharkov" will begin sailing in 2026. After summer cruises on the White Sea, it will sail for the winter season to the Caspian Sea, where international cruises are planned from Dagestan, the RUTI Vice President shared.

"The cruise will visit several countries, most likely calling at the ports of Baku and Tehran. The voyage will last 7-10 days, with the ship accommodating 176 passengers",

Vadim Mamontov reported.

Mamontov added that the Caspian cruise is projected to attract several thousand tourists in 2026, as reported by RBC Caucasus.

The Nikolay Zharkov is a modern, four-deck river-sea class vessel scheduled for its maiden voyage on April 27, 2025.
