Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed in their meeting that Hamas would be given a two-month deadline to disarm, Israel Hayom reported.
They also agreed on practical criteria for what disarmament means, according to the report. One of the criteria is the destruction of its extensive tunnel network underneath Gaza.
The U.S. president threatened Hamas with “hell to pay” if it does not disarm within a “very short period,” in remarks delivered alongside Netanyahu following their meeting.
" Hamas will be given a very short period of time to disarm. If they don’t disarm, as they agreed to do… then there will be hell to pay for them," Trump said.
