Israel expects Saudi Arabia to join war against Iran - media

Israeli leadership anticipates that Saudi Arabia may join attacks on Iran in retaliation for Iranian strikes, according to government sources cited by Kan state broadcaster correspondent Gili Cohen.

"Israel expects Saudi Arabia to retaliate against Iran, but Riyadh is delaying action due to Iranian threats, Israeli officials told me. Israel's assessment is that Saudi Arabia wants to punish Iran for encroaching on its sovereignty",

Gili Cohen said.

The US-Israel military campaign against Iran began on February 28. In response, Iran has launched strikes on Israeli territory, US military installations, and other targets across the Middle East, including sites in Saudi Arabia.
