The Russian diplomatic ministry has called for a diplomatic resolution in Iran. Moscow stated that regional stability has been undermined following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement amid the commencement of U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran.

Russia's diplomatic body characterized the action as a premeditated act of armed aggression against a UN member state. Moscow considers this act of aggression against Iran a violation of international law.

The ministry noted that these attacks are being conducted under the guise of a negotiation process, which was ostensibly intended to secure a long-term normalization.

Russia has called on the UN and the IAEA to provide an objective assessment of the actions against Iran, which it sees as aimed at undermining peace in the region.

Moscow views the actions of the U.S. and Israel as a dangerous gamble that is pushing the region toward a humanitarian and economic catastrophe. It also warned of potentially catastrophic radiological consequences.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the objective of the U.S. and Israel is to eliminate the Iranian leadership, which refused to make concessions.

Moscow condemns the actions of the U.S. and its ally Israel against Iranian facilities that are under IAEA safeguards. It stated that the military operation by Washington and Tel Aviv violates the non-proliferation regime.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the actions of the U.S. and Israel are prompting regional states to build up their military capabilities to counter potential threats.

Russia is watching with concern the actions of Washington, which it says are undermining the international legal foundations of the world order.

Moscow is urging a settlement through diplomatic channels and has expressed its readiness to help find peaceful solutions to the crisis.
