The Armenian authorities will spend 28.3 million drams on the design of the Margara customs checkpoint, which is located on the Armenian-Turkish border. The decree was adopted during the Cabinet of Ministers' meeting.

Earlier, on March 28, a decision was made to transfer the territory where the new customs point would be located to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia. The document says that the construction is planned to be completed as soon as possible, and the design and construction will be carried out in parallel.

The decision says that the first stage will include the design of service and the foundation, and the second stage will include the construction work. The creation of the checkpoint will take place without any competition, as the country's leadership seeks to open the checkpoint faster.

For this purpose, the State Revenue Committee turned to the Urban Planning Committee and asked for a list of companies that could carry out design and construction in a short time. The "Arbak and Sons" company will be engaged in designing, and "Artcon and Saakyanshin" will be engaged in construction.
