Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by the Chief of the Main Intelligence Department of Türkiye's Armed Forces İsmail Günaydın, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry website.
The meeting discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the military and military-educational spheres, as well as emphasized the importance of events held within the Azerbaijani-Turkish High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting.
"During the meeting at the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, the sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral military cooperation between our countries. It was stressed that such meetings are important in terms of expanding mutual cooperation between the two fraternal countries," the statement reads.
There was also an in-depth discussion on many other topics of interest to both parties during the meeting.
