Gold prices on the Comex exchange climbed nearly 2% to surpass $4,200 per troy ounce, marking the first such level since June 22.
August gold futures were trading at $4,206.7 per ounce at 04:24 Moscow time, up 1.96% from the previous close. While the pace of growth slowed, the price remained above $4,200.
