The Trans‑Caspian fibre‑optic communication line between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is set to begin operation in the fourth quarter of this year, Kazakhstan's Digital Development Ministry said.

Commissioning work is underway, and the most challenging stage — laying the cable along the Caspian Sea floor —has been completed, bringing the project to its final phase.

Other Central Asian countries will be able to join the digital corridor in the future.
