A meeting of special representatives of Afghanistan's neighboring countries was held in Tehran yesterday. The meeting was attended by Russia's special representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that neighboring Afghanistan has to be integrated into the region without the presence of foreign intervention.
"The solution to Afghanistan's problems is possible without the intervention of extra-regional actors," Araghchi said.
According to him, the developments in Afghanistan have a direct impact on the security and interests of neighboring countries.
"Afghanistan is a very important country and its people have extraordinary potentials and capabilities," Araghchi said.
The top Iranian diplomat further said they believe that Afghanistan must be included in a process of integration with the region.
