“The Georgian government is determined to contribute to the reset of relations with the United States, which we consider obligatory against the backdrop of the events that occurred after 2020. We very much hope that there will be reciprocal steps. Of course, the development and deepening of Georgian-American relations is strategically important for Georgia, "

- the head of the government said.

Foreign Agents bill in Georgia

The first attempt to pass the scandalous bill was made by the Georgian leadership last spring, but it was unsuccessful due to mass protests. In April, the authorities decided to reconsider the document, after which the republic’s relations with the United States and the European Union deteriorated. After the adoption of the law, the United States announced visa sanctions against the country's leadership.
