Armenia expresses gratitude to Azerbaijan for allowing transit of goods

Armenia expressed gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev regarding the removal of restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia, the Armenian Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan said.

She stressed that Yerevan welcomes the statement made by the President of Azerbaijan regarding the lifting of restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia.

The spokesperson linked this step by Azerbaijan with the implementation of the provisions of the Joint Declaration of Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan of August 8, 2025.

"This step holds significant importance for the opening of regional connectivity, strengthening mutual trust, and the institutionalization of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Baghdasaryan said.
