Egypt to assist Hamas in search of Israeli hostages’ bodies

Cairo announced its intention to send search groups with specialized equipment to the Gaza Strip to find bodies of Israeli hostages. Egyptian authorities are thus offering assistance in completing the first stage of the Trump plan for a Palestinian settlement.

Egyptian authorities have decided to facilitate the implementation of the Trump plan for Gaza, which is currently stalled at the first stage, by assisting Hamas with the return of the bodies of the dead hostages to Israel.

The first stage of the Trump plan envisions the partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip, a complete cessation of hostilities in the Palestinian enclave, and the return of Israeli hostages, both survivors and dead, in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.
