Baku, Tashkent agree on military cooperation for 2026

The defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan held talks on developing cooperation. The parties approved a joint action plan for next year.

The heads of the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Zakir Hasanov and Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, discussed defense cooperation. The Tashkent delegation also included Security Council Secretary Viktor Makhmudov.

The meeting began with a memorial ceremony at the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the Uzbek delegation also visited Victory Park. The ceremonial portion of the meeting also included a guard of honor and the performance of the national anthems of the two countries.
