Tbilisi authorities to allocate nearly $260 million for transportation development

Tbilisi's budget for the current year has come into effect. The capital's authorities will allocate 2.2 billion lari ($821.7 million) for the development of various sectors of the city, with approximately 700 million lari ($260 million) allocated for transportation development.

A part of these funds will finance the construction of a new tram line and the restoration of cable car systems.

Other significant allocations include roughly $114 million for relocating residents from dilapidated housing, just under $100 million for new kindergarten construction, and approximately $70 million for healthcare services.
