Georgia sets record for copper purchases from Russia

Russia has become Georgia's primary copper supplier, with imports from Russia quadrupling in February, according to data from Sakstat.

Copper imports from Russia reached $2.2 million for the month, setting a new record. Russia accounted for 54.9 percent of all copper purchased by Georgia abroad.

Other major copper suppliers to Georgia in February included Uzbekistan, Türkiye, China, and Italy.
