Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has announced the imminent signing of an EU-Armenia action plan that will outline requirements for visa-free regime establishment.
The minister noted accelerated preparatory work exceeding the pace of similar processes with other nations, with negotiations reaching their final phase.
"We will soon sign an agreed action plan, and its implementation will be a key condition for obtaining visa-free travel with the European Union",
Ararat Mirzoyan said.
A new Armenia-EU Partnership Agreement, developed with the European Commission, is 99% complete. The agreement will replace the current document, signed in November 2017.
Accotding to Mirzoyan, the previous agreement has already been partially implemented, and some of its provisions are no longer relevant, so the new document will be signed soon.
