The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a $175 million loan program for Armenia, according to reports from Armenian media.

The funds will be allocated over three years as part of the support package. An initial tranche of $25 million will be disbursed immediately upon the agreement’s signing, with further support based on an analysis by the IMF's experts.

This follows a previous IMF loan of $171 million granted to Armenia from 2022 to 2025.

The announcement comes after this autumn's reports that Yerevan plans to borrow an additional €150 million from the French Development Agency (AFD).
